|
|
Does anyone know where I can buy a trumpet wallmount online?
I was thinking of something small, like som kind of padded hooks or similar.
I know a lot of shops sell different kinds of hooks, but noone of them have had the perfect fit that I want (you don't want the trumpet falling off the wall of course!). I've tried to search on the net, but haven't found anything suitable yet.
Hope someone knows something.
Thanks

I was frustrated by the lack of trumpet racks or display systems, so I started building my own. Check out the collection at http://www.csee.umbc.edu/~artola/display to see the variety of setups I have built.
I haven't found a good source for larger plaques so far, so the hanging wall plaque built from premade natural wood plaques from Michael's Crafts is best suited to cornets.
If you are at all handy with wood and tools, it is pretty easy to put these together, expecting to spend from $5 to $50. _________________ - Paul Artola

Lon -
The top horn is a 2003 Zeus Guarnerius in the antique brushed lacquer with the optional rounded slide - probably the .464" one. Look kinda like some of the horns you sell? Heeheehee!
The middle horn is a 1950 Olds Ambassador and the bottom horn is a 1953 Selmer 24A Balanced.

Thanks for the replies folks!
I decided to go with a bicyclestand untill I might find something more suitable.
Strange that there are no such things easily available, as I thought there would be a lot of people interested in hanging up their trumpets. _________________ Through the game of life we struggled for control, for a means to fashion the world around us, an eternal, hopeless hunt for the privilege of being able to predict the shape of our lives. |

you could try to contact dillon music. in case you haven't been there or don't know, they have walls covered with all different horns. they just use simple hooks and i don't think there are any problems with their hooks. |
