After I do Caruso my lips are pretty beat up. I do them first thing in the morning when I wake up (around 11:00am), and then I eat lunch and then do Irons. Is it okay to always do the low F# after MCFB? I find Irons is a LOT easier to do, if I do revitalize the lips. Is okay to do this? |

Absolutely!! The low F# is great for relaxing and rebalancing the lips. It's a very good "warm down" exercise. A good way to leave your chops when you're through for the day.
I will also reiterate something that is fairly new to me ( about six months) and that I can't say enough about.
Playing on the leadpipe.
I do it first thing of the day (before Caruso) and then several times during the day. Just let that low note sound and repeat it for a few minutes. Then gliss down an octave and back up. Do this several times. |
