does anyone have a favorite recording of the kennan sonata? im working on the piece but dont have a recording of it and i cant find one.

I think David Hickman and Ray Mase have recordings of the Kennan.

I like the Ray Mase version. Some of the tunes on that CD, Trumpet in Our Time, are pretty far out for me, though.

Didn't Vince DiMartino release the version for solo and Wind Ensemble?

When I performed the Kennan for solo and ensemble, I listened to the Jouko Harjanne recording.His playing style is similar to mine so it was better for me to listen to than the Mase and Hickman versions.

I also have the Jouko Harjanne recording, called American Trumpet Sonatas. Its very good:) I haven't heard any other recordings yet.
