Hi all,

I missed the PBS broadcast of Kurt Masur's farewell concert. If anybody would be willing to copy a tape for me, I'd be more than happy to send a few bucks. Respond privately if you can help me out.

Thanks!
Bob

What was with the commentators, was this a sporting event? Did this bug anyone else? I found it funny and thought it distracted from the concert, cause I was so amused by it

can't this concert be digitalized and published over the internet? Maybe there is such a website where I can find that stuff.
I really want to see those concerts, but over here in germany there is no chance for me to get that stuff other than the internet.

That commentary is there for every "Live from Lincoln Center" broadcast. Not only for the Philharmonic, but the LCJO and everything else. It was Hugh Downs....he's been doing it for YEARS!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the concert. It seems that the only reason I get a TV guide lately is to see if there is anything musical on PBS, Bravo or ARTS. I did tape it, however the PBS channel it was on had frequent interference problems, which made it annoying.

Now that you say something I do remember that, I can't believe I've never noticed it that much before, I always listen to it on NPR and it didn't sound amusing, it just cracked me up this time...it had to be the beer and the friends.....another reason not to drink kids!
