Took Unix as you limited Liux to RedHat. And well, I like HP UX, AIX, IRIX just as much. I have certain problems with Solaris, but nothing compared to Windo$e or Mac.

Well limiting people to just Windows XP is probably not going to work too well. I think I've used every version of Windows at one point or another, so just limiting people to just XP is going to make a lot of people go "I still use 9x, NT, etc"

Same thing goes for Linux as well.

Right now, my laptop is running Windows XP Home Edition.

My desktop, which previously ran DOS, Windows 3.1, 98 (SE), XP Pro and Home, is in the process of being conerted to Linux (Gentoo power, Jon! ).

You did? How was Windows 1.XXX? I know only everything after 2.0. Man, it was a pain inthe something fix that with edlin. That must've been about the point where I learned to hate Micro$Gates. Never got over it.

well, did you expect wisdom? If so, go for a reading through R&P, and then come back.

I use the proper tool (OS) for the job. I've got every verson of DOS (PCDOS, MSDOS, DR-DOS, and some really obscure ones), Windows from v2, GEM, CP/M, OS/2, NetWare, and *NIX's out the wahzoo.

Did you actually expect anyone to be using DOS? BTW is that MS-DOS or DR-DOS?

I use Windows 98 so I have not yet voted.

I thought Win 1.X was a joke. I played with it and looked around, but DOS was far superior as if that is saying much. Yes, I learned to dislike MS at that point too--I only wish my dislike wouldn't have prevented me from buy stock. I remember having the opportunity to buy $500 worth back then. I would be a millionaire right now. Oh well...

The only MS product I use now is XP Pro, and only that so I can record (don't own a Mac.)

OS X.3, mainly because it's better than any other OS, minus a couple non-GUI Linux systems.

Cheers!

I've only seen the Windows prior to 3.x but never really played around with them. All I know is, they looked like they were more or less useless.

I actually run Debian GNU/Linux so I chose UNIX. There's NO WAY I'm associating myself with Red Hat.
