Over here it's Starbucks Vs Costa Vs Cafe Nero, I prefer Starbucks, but Costa is quite good. Cafe Nero sucks. |

It seems to me that Starbucks and Caribou are in the milk selling business. They brew their coffees so strong they destroy the real flavor of the coffee, turning it into a bitter, nasty concoction. I mean, what's the point of brewing up coffee ground from a superior bean like Guatemalan Antigua, or Kona or Sumatra when it's brewed strong well past the point of actually being able to discern a difference?
Oddly enough, it seems to me that some of the best coffee brewed in America today by any chain store is coffee brewed at 7-11. You can actually taste the flavor of the bean - it's robust, nutty rich and not bitter at all, and costs about 1/3 less than either Starbucks or Caribou. _________________ Patrick Gleason
