Over here it's Starbucks Vs Costa Vs Cafe Nero, I prefer Starbucks, but Costa is quite good. Cafe Nero sucks.

It seems to me that Starbucks and Caribou are in the milk selling business. They brew their coffees so strong they destroy the real flavor of the coffee, turning it into a bitter, nasty concoction. I mean, what's the point of brewing up coffee ground from a superior bean like Guatemalan Antigua, or Kona or Sumatra when it's brewed strong well past the point of actually being able to discern a difference?

Oddly enough, it seems to me that some of the best coffee brewed in America today by any chain store is coffee brewed at 7-11. You can actually taste the flavor of the bean - it's robust, nutty rich and not bitter at all, and costs about 1/3 less than either Starbucks or Caribou.
