How much time do you spend on the computer compared to time in the practice room??

I'm ashamed to say it, but I spend waaaaaay more time on the PC. Part of it is business related, but a lot of it is not....

How about those of us who multitask?
Long notes whilst reading TH

To be honest, it's about an even split at the moment - with no teaching and few gigs, I can just spin my chair between monitor and music stand

No comparison at any time of the year -- the computer wins every time. I don't watch much TV any more because I enjoy my computer time. I choose not to play golf much anymore because it has been hard after my surgeries to get back in shape. Why not spend time in the computer chair while my wife and daughter watch TV?

Lucky.
I have to drive into work to practice....or put up with silent brass.
Soooooooo,
I have 4 Eclipse horns and an eclipse flugel, so I SHOULD be able to leave one at home for practice, and not have to lug it to and from work every day, right? Wrong.
2 of the horns I am selling for charity, and are at Leigh's shop. (more exposure)
One of my Eclipses is getting re-finished and is also at Leigh's shop (I am forever changing my mind on finishes)
Flugel is being borrowed by a business associate from musikhaus Thomann for a play test, which leaves me ONE HORN.

The only other option is a Calicchio (Army horn), and lets be honest - that is no fun in comparison.

I'm sure that once school picks up again, my vote for the computer will be wrong.

Yeah, it's the computer.
*sheepish grin*

Copper twins. 2 horns, exactly the same - copper bell eclipse conversions, complete scratched surface, raw brass. Jazz for real!

Be warned, I've got dibbs on one of them!

As for the poll, It;s about 50/50 for me. Although I keep trying to move it in favour of the trumpet.

I'm in front of the computer all day at work, so it rarely gets switched on at home. Trumpet, cornet & Flugel win out when I'm at home, but not as much as I would like, due to kids and the needs of a busy house.

Actually, I'm sure that once I get my new Eclipse baby, I'll be spending more time on the horn and less on the computer!

It's only 5 weeks and 6 days until I go! *jumps up and down with excitement* Not like I'm counting or anything.....

That means I should probably ship the trumpet I made out....I don't want it to get killed on the plane over there...soo....yeah.

Whee!

Sadly, more computer than trumpet by better than 15 to 1. Most is work, but heck, I could be practicing right now, rather than posting here. It hasn't been out of the case for 3 days now, not good, not good.
