Could someone please inform me on what was Caruso's warm up routine and was it applied to all of his students?
Also, is there anything published in this regard that one can order or share?
Thanks,
Liad |

Liad,
When I studied with Carmine he used to tell me that warm ups were very over rated. His warm up, if you want to call it that, (with me anyway) was the Six Notes and the Seconds. I have recently (six months) installed 2-4 minutes of lead pipe long tones, prior to the Six Notes, as the first thing I do in the day. I highly recommend it.
Carmine told me that a player should start playing each day like he had just put the horn down 5 minutes ago. He said it will make things happen faster by doing it this way. |
