What would you do if you knew you could not fail? This isn't a genie-in-a-bottle question; you have to put some effort into it, not just wait for it to happen. I guess I would write a hit Broadway musical... or ask Halle Berry out on a date! (Not really, I'm very happily married!) So what would YOU do if you KNEW you could not fail?

Maybe ask out the girl of my dreams..it really is hard...I'll give a thought out answer later...

I'd go to Carls Junior hoping they are giving away free western bacon 6 dollar burgers.

No, I'd probably just ask for a nice, new french horn, the school ones I have to play are absymal.

also want to not hurt yourself whatsoever. You may survive, but hurt yourself in the process

Persuade a major corporation to sponsor an ITG/TH/TM/BF/B-F get-together - all expenses and costs covered.

It would be great for everyone here to all meet up, especially if it wasn't going to cost any of us anything. Although the bar bill might be a bit high, even for the big companies

Ask Bill Gates for all his money and assets, then fund a massive ITG/TH/TM/BF/B-F get-together - all expenses and costs covered.

I'd go out onstage in front of all sorts of people, and blast them away with some Fiiiiine trumpet playing.
I'd actually tell some of the people at school exactly what I thought of them instead of being nice.
I'd go to any and all TH/TM/TC/TGI/ITG/B-F/Ibowtie/TPO meetings held by the people who said they'd host em. lol.
I'd go to Florida.

ahhhh but if you couldn't fail, you wouldn't even need to liquidate the accounts. It would just take a little longer....which, if you couldn't fail...would be fun

Also, is this situation automatically assuming "success"? Just because one doesn't fail, doesn't necessarily mean one succeeds. Hmmmmmmmmmm

I'd zig-zag across the US, go to performances of every type of musical event I could along the way. Orchestras -- I'd walk onstage, perform whatever I fancied that day (concerto, major work, etc., etc.). Pit orch -- Man, too many to choose from, but I'd sit in! I'd also find Maynard, and I'd give Pat Hession and Carl Fischer a night off (hey, might as well shoot for the moon!).

When I got to LA, I'd look up Wayne Bergeron and Malcomb McNab and start recording with them for awhile.

After a period of time, I'd head overseas...starting in Great Britain...all of those brass bands -- Black Dyke, Foden's, YBS, Grimethorpe, etc...followed by all those incredible orchestras...then a little time on the West End...

Then off to the Mainland.......

<sails into sunset, horns slung over shoulder....>

I wouldn't worry about horns...I can't fail, right? If I need something, it will be there!
