Random question, but does anyone know what Philip Cobb's mouthpiece setup for Bb in the LSO is?

Thanks,
Rob

This is the cornet mouthpiece he endorses. Quite a small diameter.

Thanks fellas.
He sure sounds amazing no matter what he plays.

I'm guessing if it's Warburton it'd be a 6? I've seen him with a Denis Wick plugged into the end too.

Wow! Smaller than I’d have guessed! I guess overseas they aren’t plagued with the masculine obsession with size when it comes to mouthpieces

A lot of great working players in America just don't talk about playing smaller sizes... They quietly work, make a living, and sound great while others talk about playing a 3 and bigger... Both in orchestras and commercial work.
Your mouthpiece fits your teeth and your lips. Just like your shoes fit your feet. Okay. Enough of a rant. Sorry. Don't mean to offend anyone

Makes sense, since he plays Bb most of the time!

Warburton have just released a line of Philip Cobb Signature mouthpieces. The two diameter sizes are 16.5 and 16.75 or equivalent to the standard Warburton 4 and 5s.
He's playing Wicks in quite a few of the LSO videos on youtube (the 3 and 4 diameter are the same as those Warburtons, so I'd guess any from 3/3C/MM3C/4/4B or similar) and Bachs too.
Apparently it was a Breslmair G3 being used on the recent LSO webcast of Petrushka, but I can't verify that.
Phil is an absolutely sensational musician and a very humble and generous guy too. Huge inspiration for so many players.
