Merry Christmas, Rich!
Now, if you are this bored after tomorrow, can you translate "How 'bout dem Huskers!" into all those languages?
I've got my three flags flying proudly outside the house this week...
the Stars and Stripes,
the Union Jack, and
the Big Red "N"
My neighbors don't even bother to ask anymore. I think the short wave array in my back garden and the empty gunrack in the pickup keep them busy enough.
Best wishes to you and yours!

hey Dave.... nice to hear from you. Well, when you don't have to go to school one gets up early to practice and I must have run across this while my lip was waking up
I think Wednesday is the game... willl you be able to see it over there. I think Wednesday I'm going to Omaha to try a couple mouthpieces... but I suppose I'll catch the game somewhere along the way.
Last I emailed John Mills... maybe a month ago, sounded like he was getting along ok at that point. I think they come back to Lincoln for Christmas... Char has some relation (may it's her home town) in Ceresco.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/hughes1946

Rich,
I think we can see it on tape delay mid-day Thursday, as it is played live beginning about 2AM Thursday. I do the HuskerNside Internet thing, so I'll either do it live UNL audio, try to grab the live video feed from Armed Forces Network, or turn off the news and the computer for a day and watch it on tape delay and pretend it's live.
A woman I teach over here with played clarinet under Revelli at Michigan. Just a little bit of tradition between us with the two oldest college bands in the country. You'd think at least one of us would be running the bands in our department, but noooooo....
The trade-offs (I guess) are that this week I took the family to the English National Opera for the Nutcracker, am sending the girls to see Les Miserables, then we see Patrick Stewart do Dicken's "Christmas Carol" as a one man show, and then finish up on the 30th at St Martins in the Fields seeing all six Brandenburg Concerti featuring Crispin Steele-Perkins on trumpet. I may miss a bowl game or two, but some friends got six Omaha steaks through for us, so we're getting the best of both worlds... I guess...
Charlotte's home is Ceresco, and I'm glad to hear things are going better.
Again, Happy holidays....
