My definition of a used car is something that drives

But in all seriousness, my father bought a '99 Grand Am with decent mileage and it worked the whole time in minnesota for only about 2500$.

You guys must have poor negotiation skills!

I got my car, a used 88 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme for just 750 bucks. The thing runs just fine, the only things that it needed were new tires, brakes, and a little electronic gizmo for the turning signals. All together, it only ended up costing maybe 1000 smackaroo's, give or take. I actually spend more on car insurance than the actual cost of my car, which kinda sucks.

Oh well, it gets me from A to B, or at least to band practise

NONONONO You must practice 18 hours a day! There are no shortcuts from A to B.

You actually believe that time spent on TH will improve your playing- not by implementing something you read- just reading about it!

BTW- my Ford Ranger was only $500 3 years ago. I just keep driving it! It doesn't look very pretty, but neither does my favorite cornet. Why would I waste any more than that on a car when there are literally thousands of trumpets on eBay? Right now. Ummm... gotta go!

Wow. Sometimes, I'll bring my trumpet into the computer room and practice while waiting for a reply or something.

I dunno, your usage / invention of the word "skimpily" sort of implies you're well past half baked! Somehow I missed that campaign ...

You could also be a THaholic when:

You know 9 different cheeses, without having tasted any of them

You understand why certain people have pink hair (and who started it)

You know that curry is the finest foodstuff known to mankind, even if your experience of it is limited only to a single spice.

You know that by changing mouthpiece you will be able to play higher.

You know that changing mouthpiece will only hinder your development.

You know that if player x plays on brand x, then if you do the same, you will be as good as them.
