I purchased a used trumpet on ebay. it says Boosey Hawkes England on the bell and also Besson 700 London as well. can anybody tell me if this is a good, fair, exceptional. or mediocre trumpet? i know it's a tough question but although it is an intermediate level instrument is this a quality instrument? and can it hold a candle to a Professional level instrument? one last thing. can anybody please tell me of any good internet resources to find out more about this particular Bb trumpet. thanks to all the good folks at the TH. and hope you all have a nice day! thanks for all your support! |

I had a Besson 1010 and it wasn't bad at all. I ended up selling it, though, to another person in the band. She hasn't had any problems with it, other than (recently) accidently banging one of the water keys. _________________ Kickin' brass and takin' names. |

If you can distinguish the serial number imprinted on the valve casing, this link may help: http://www.thebrassbow.com/Serial.html _________________ Live Recording:

The Besson 700 series was a student line.
A nice student line, but still a student line. |
