Just found a reference to Frank Beach in an ITG Journal article on "Jake" (Jacoby) by Keith Winking Dec 1992, page 38:
He was in the Navy Band at Great Lakes with Jacoby, Johnny Best and Conrad Gozzo.
"Frank Beach, who was first trumpet at 20th Century Fox for years;"
Hope this is a help.

Thanks Andrew, Was he before John Clyman at 20th Century Fox? Do you know the years he started and finished. I thought he was a big band style player like Gozzo rather than a film guy. Peter Salt. |

Sorry Peter
I was looking for something else, was reading this article about Don "Jake" Jacoby and came across the name Frank Beach and remembered seeing a question on the TH website.
If you use a search engine (I use Google) and put in Frank Beach+trumpet, you get some recordings that he played on with Mel Torme, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald & Billy May etc.
If I find anything else I'll get back to you. Let's hope someone else can add a bit more info.
