Just for fun I picked up a La Tromba S 17 mouthpiece on Ebay. It is massive but I really love it. Does anyone have any information on these mouthpieces?? The Ad said it was made in Germany but La Tromba is Italian. Thanx RayG |

It's a mouthpiece f´rom Germany. It was designed by Richard Stuart. They have also trumpets.

Hello,
It is funny because, I use "La Tromba T2 Valve Oil Special" as valve oil...and until this thread I was also convinced it was Italian! I have checked the "La Tromba Valve Oil" bottle and it is made by Chemical Works Schachen Ltd, Kriens-Lucerne, Switzerland...
A french guy like me was far to imagine an german-swiss product using an italian name (on the french market, in a general way, it is the opposite...).
Anyway, I don't know about the mouthpieces but the oil works fine!
Regards

There are parts of Switzerland where Italian is spoken. The Ticino canton, for example. |

Sure Vince.
I was only meaning that we are really "conditionned" by brand names: I have been using this oil since years, certain it was italian!
Ciao
