Hey everyone...

For an All State Orchestra that is coming up soon I have to play Puccini's Manon Lescaut, Act 3, Intermezzo. I really enjoy the recording I have, but the 1st trumpet doesn't take the octave up on the triplet. I was wondering if anyone knows why they played it like that. Also, which recording should i listen to regarding this? Chicago? London?

Thanks for any help!
