What was Carusos philosophy regarding double tonguing? I dont think I noticed any exercises on this in the book. If its "ts ts ts" for single what is it for double(tu ka tu ka?)
How long do you have to do the single tongue exercises before you can move on to double. |

Carmine taught me to do the tonguing exercise using "kss" (sounds sort of like "kiss"). We didn't do this until I was several months along in lessons. Hope this helps.

Ya know, on second thought, your probably right.the "ks"(coming from the back portion of the tongue) is helpful. I took note of that at practice last night and are doing that already. Interesting how you can almost teach yourself what to do in many cases and not even be aware your doing it.
Did that make sense? |
