After working on Claude's SA for the last year and as my range has been increasing (I started off at the beginning of the year with a weak high C - the first C above the staff), I noticed that the high C got stronger pretty quickly, and the C# and D also "appeared" and became strong fairly quickly as well. The Eb took a little while longer, but nothing as compared to the E and above. It took a good six months of the last year to now finally start being able to hit an E, F, F#, and the occasional G (still need to fatten these up with time and continued practice).
Assuming I am doing the exercises correctly, is this something that other people have experienced? Is there some type of "barrier" (i.e. related to partials etc.) between the Eb and E above the staff?

Hi Mike,
you might try using the same mouthpiece rim with a bit more cup if thats possible.
Sometimes the compression can stop the lips vibrating especially after you`ve been playing awhile. Also, keeping your head up will open your throat and increase your air flow.
