I had the pleasure of studying one summer with John Ware. Not only is he a great Trumpet player and musician, he is also a great person.

Although it wasn't mentioned...is this the same John Ware (trumpet) that ran with CHASE for a while?...it doesn't add up..I could swear John Ware was listed as one of the players on the album cover.

dat's what I meant.... I just got the two Wares mixed up (In name only)..

John played 3rd trumpet on the definitive recording by Leroy Anderson of Bugler's Holiday. 2nd was Ray Crisara and 1st was James Burke. I had the pleasure of interviewing him for an article I wrote for the ITG. Very nice guy as was his wife. |

Another great recording with Johnny playing principal is the Shostakovitch 9th Symphony under Bernstein. |
