Hi,
I've been playing trumpet for about 6 years now and am a sophomore in high school. My range isn't very good, considering I've been using my left arm to close my aperture and switched to a less arm-pressure way of playing not too long ago. My previous teacher was taught by Stamp, so I can produce pedals easily. My current teacher teaches a lot about a relaxed tongue, level-airstream of playing, jaw forward, play where everything buzzes right type of playing (I'm not really sure where it originated). I would like a second opinion, though. Could you give me any suggestions on where to start in Claude Gordon material?
Thanks,
Trevor |

Thanks for the advice, David. I'll order that book right away.
