Hi.
I'm really confused. i dun really understand the names you guys give to ya notes.
For example... super C and Double E
I've always tot that the C on the 3rd space is called high C, and the C above the staff(2nd ledger line) is called high high C or C3
Is this correct?
I realise that my HIGH HIGH C is addressed by you guys as high C.
So what's double E and what's super C
Would appreciate if someone could type out the whole range for me!!!
Spank you!!!

c below the staff= low c
third space c = Middle C
1st C above staff = High C
e above that = High E
c above the 5th ledger line above staff = double C
e above the 6th ledger line above the staff =double e

In my experience, high C is two ledger lines above the staff. Double high C is an octave above that. I guess the "other" C's could be referred to as the one in the staff and the one below the staff. If there are any others, I sure haven't found them, despite what Mingus said.

Maybe if us trumpeter's would just refer to notes to their proper names C1, C2, C3 ext.... Then we wouldn't have so much confusion.

Yeah, but it's more fun to say "Dubba C" than "C3" especially for some high schoolers who brag abnd brag and brag about their so-called dubba Cs, which are usually little more than gnat farts if they exist at all...

I agree about the confusion though, it would clear alot of things up.

trjeam, could you clear up what C1, C2, C3, etc. are? My understanding is that middle C (trumpet low C) is C1, and the numbers go up from there. But would the E at the bottom of the staff be E1 or E2?

high C - c3
double high C - c4
etc.

I think the names change at c, so b2 is a half step lower than c3 if i got it right!
