Doubling???? Does it helps?

i had been a flute player for 3 years and now im a second years trumpet player. I would like to know if it is still valuable for me to play flute. I means; if i play flute, will it help increasing my quality of trumpet playing?

certainly from a musical stand point...thos elong flute phrases give you a good eye for a line!!

Well, of course in that point of view. But i would like to know if playing some flue will help me develop my trumpet skill?
