Intermediate Jazz Improvisation"
Description: A Study Guide for Developing Soloists - Book/2 CD's By George Bouchard
I saw it on the catalog when I was looking to see if the Lee Morgan one was available yet... I'm just curious as to what's in it.
The description on the Web site is so vague.

BTW, I'm not looking for a discussion on the merits of play-alongs, but I WOULD like to know--from someone who has the CD--what is on the particular play-along I mentioned. (Sorry if I seemed rude, Larry.)
Thanks.

"I'm well aware of the dangers/pitfalls of using these"
OK, I'll bite. What are the dangers/pitfalls of using the Aebersold books? _________________ Bob Hill

As I mentioned earlier in my original post, the info on the site is very vague. Talking to one of the marketers is most likely not going to give me an accurate idea of what the cd is like. I'm looking for anyone who has the cd. (yeah, I'm pretty distrustful of marketing/sales folks... what can I say, it comes from a life in editorial...)
Anyone? I guess it's not exactly the most popular item on the aebersold catalog.
Oh, and I've edited my original post to remove any mention of the merits of these things, as it seems to have had a sort of reverse psychology effect.

Bob (and earlier myself) was making reference to a quote by the original poster, and while it may not be a dead-center bulls eye, the question is ON the target.
