| I was just at a honor band festival at SIUE and Dr. John Korak, Trumpet Professor, let us brass players watch and listen to some brass groups. Well, the first thing we watched was a dvd of a trombonist, trumpeter, and piano and let me tell you this, this was some of the best playing I've ever heard or seen. It turns out the trombonist was Christian Lindberg and the trumpet player was Hakan Hardenberger. When I heard that I was shocked because I've heard of him but never have seen him beofre. This dvd is something that you all should definently check out. It is called A Night at the Opera and don't be fooled by the name because it has singing, just trombone/trumpet duets and trumept features, etc. So go out and buy this. |
