Hello to all,
I am a new member here on this forum.
Recently moved here to Arizona from Toledo, Ohio.
Are there any members living in the Phoenix area teaching the
Mendez, Reinhardt and / or Schlossberg routines for trumpet?
Post here if you are a teacher or know of someone incorporating any of these routines in their program. _________________ Jerry Grande

There really is no such thing as the Mendez "method," unless you are referring to his use of pedal tones. Also, Schlossburg never wrote a method either. His "Daily Drills" book is an excellent collection of random exercises that can be applied as needed.
There are, in fact, teachers of the Reinhardt "system," which is also not a method. Rather, it is a system of classifying various types of embouchures. Appropriate exercises can then be advised for each student.
Welcome to Arizona! Come visit the Rafael Mendez Library if in Tempe. Check out its website: http://mendezlibrary.asu.edu

Good morning Mr. Hickman,
I know I worded my post wrong.
What you are describing is exactly what I am looking for.
A teacher who incorporates these "routines" in their teaching methods.
I realize that most teachers use the Clarke and Arbans which I have used for years.
Also, I am using the Giddings & Webster "Hickman Signature" mouthpiece
which I have found to an amazing piece of equipment.
Thanks so very much for your reply. _________________ Jerry Grande
