I've read the books, but I'm still not sure that I am breathing correctly.

Does anyone have any "tools" they use to verify they are breathing the CG way?

Just refer back to No harder than Deep breathing. Claude gives you a very good way to check on your breathing. Have your arms at your sides palms facing out. As you breathe in pull back your arms. This is how it should feel when you breathe in.

Everything "feels" right, but how can I VERIFY I'm doing it correctly?
I am not seeing any improvements in my playing.
As a matter of fact, it almost feels like I'm always "short-of-breath"
I think I might have a "chest cold" but this has been going on for some time now. +1 month.

Are you doing the breathing exercises? You should everyday.
The shortness of breath comes from a lack of rhythm in your breathing and tension. You may in fact be taking too big of a breath.
