I am trying to learn soloing over chord progression, but i just can't seem to get it, is there some way someone could explain it or something i can do to learn this better?

Figure out which notes fit into which chords and focus on those. Once you are comfortable with the 1-3-5 start adding 7th and after you are good with that you can really start playing around with cool chors. Not that you can't have cool solos with 1-3-5.

That's what I try to do but I'm not that great.

Go to the sticky thread at the top of this forum called "Key Jazz Forum Threads" and click on the first link. Read the whole thread. Lots of useful information.

Briefly - the trick to playing good jazz is (a) hearing a good solo in your head, and (b) being able to play adequately by ear so that you can play what you hear. Simple. Not easy.
