I am trying to learn soloing over chord progression, but i just can't seem to get it, is there some way someone could explain it or something i can do to learn this better? |

Figure out which notes fit into which chords and focus on those. Once you are comfortable with the 1-3-5 start adding 7th and after you are good with that you can really start playing around with cool chors. Not that you can't have cool solos with 1-3-5.

Go to the sticky thread at the top of this forum called "Key Jazz Forum Threads" and click on the first link. Read the whole thread. Lots of useful information.
Briefly - the trick to playing good jazz is (a) hearing a good solo in your head, and (b) being able to play adequately by ear so that you can play what you hear. Simple. Not easy. _________________ Jeff Helgesen
