Dear TH readers,
There's a great resource for you and your students to visit New England Jazz History Database One of the musicians featured was a Worcester, MA Jazz Icon. Emil Haddad. He was loved by everyone he knew and got the opportunity to sit in with many great jazz players such as Red Rodney, Dizzy Gillespie, Art Farmer, etc. . . whenever they were in town. Check out some of the Transcriptions I did of Emil's soloing. . . just some really tasteful ideas. The man played with heart. . . . there is also a video page to hear him play.
Enjoy!
Merry Christmas!
