Guys
i just tried PM ing a fellow THer (lh) and the message is sitting in the outbox with no record in the sent messages..
Did it go?

Any suggestions?

When you send a message, it goes to the Outbox, where it stays until it's read by the recipient, at which point it is moved to the Sentbox. (You can still edit or delete messages in your Outbox.)
