I recently posted where I was auditioning a Monette B2, but after playing on it a couple of days felt the rim diameter being too big. I am now trying out a Monette B4S. What is your opinion, and general consensus on this mpc?

Very comfortable rim. A little brighter than a Monette B6. Easy to play. Did i say it was comfortable?

I believe this is one of monettes best pieces I pretty sure its the most popular too. I played one very happily for a few years I hope you like yours as much as I did mine.

I bought one on that auction site a couple of months ago... I got it for a good enough price that I knew I could make money on it in a resale. After trying it, however, I won't be selling it AND won't be going back to my Bach 3C! I don't know why it's so much better, but it IS noticeably so...

Back in the day (over 25yrs ago) I played exclusively on a Bach 3C, and I'm talking all
kinds of music from legit, jazz, stage band, etc. The only thing, when I started my mpc safari I loaned my Bach to an Army bandsman and never got it back. I will be testing the waters with the B4S this weekend. I play in a rock band that plays everthing from Chicago to Swing, Motown to current. Do you think the B4S should cut the part?
