Several years ago (maybe 7) I found a site with the top 43 (by Roger House, I think) and the top 50 called on excerpts. I have been searching the web and can't find the lists. I know several people have listed the recent auditions here. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where to find it?

I don't know about that list, but here's the contents of a book of excerpts available from Hickey's online for $30. Seems pretty complete, though I'm not sure these are "everybody's top 50":

I'm Just curious, has anyone published anything akin to a Top 50 Symphonic Band excerpts list? With excerpts s/a Holst suites for military band, John Barnes Chance (incantation adn dance, korean folk song) etc...?

I know the list you are talking about..i have them some where..one of the has the % of times called beside the piece...

that is one of the list I have...not sure about the other yet..i think it is a copy of the house list..havnt been able to find it yet. |
