Wondering if this might be of interest to this trumpet community. In November 2003, trumpet players around the nation and England (trumpeters in other countries are welcome to participate) are going to premiere Robert Bradshaw's new Trumpet Sonata. Presently, over fifty University/College Trumpet Professors and soloists are reviewing the piece. Many are already preparing for recital. All professional trumpet players are invited to participate in the premier. Those who submit a program (recording for students) from a performance of Sonata within the month of November 2003, will have their names included in the first edition of the published work, due out in Spring 2004. (no performances are permitted prior to November)

A few examples of scheduled premieres:
Dr. James Ackley, University of Connecticut
Dr. Ackley is planning to premiere the work in Connecticut and South America.
He will also be recording Sonata in late 2003 or 2004.
Dr. A. Keith Amstutz, University of South Carolina
In addition to performing Sonata, Dr. Amstutz is planning a concert of Mr. Bradshaw's works. The performance will include several solo works for trumpet and flugelhorn and trumpet ensemble pieces. (Mr. Bradshaw will be in attendance)
Prof. James R. West, Louisiana State University
Prof. West is planning the only electronic performance of Sonata. He will be accompanied by a MIDI string section.
Dr. Scott Beckett, University of Wyoming
Dr. Rolf Olson, University of South Dakota
