I thought I'd add more about my chin position. I said earlier that my chin is flat, but that's for in and below the staff. For up above, a slightly bunched chin is what does the trick. I imagine it may have something to do with the increase in muscle tension needed for the high register, but it's just my 2¢. _________________ V~Raptor Bb, Standard Weight

It seems like worrying about your chin is a waste of time, since many players play beautifully with a flat chin or a bunched chin. But I guess many things are a waste of time and I still do them, Oh well. |

And I never even considered it...I usually focus on the lip area, considering that's where the embouchure is. _________________ ~Annie
