Getzen A/Bb Piccolo Eterna 4-valve in Silver Plate… long bell… SN#P21956 excellent condition… performed with only once by me…purchased used about silx years ago… no mouthpiece… no case although it ships inside a gig bag… $1,500…

I believe that this is an Eterna 3916, but from pictures I’ve seen online the third valve slide is on the right instead (opposite of online photos) of the left and this one is featured with Amato dump valves instead of the old-style spit keys on both the third and fourth slides.

As described online, the pitch adjustment is on the fourth slide, not one on the third. This provides an interesting facility for pitch correcting especially at the lower end where often needed. This was convenient for the Telemann ensemble I used it for. Note: the stop pin for this fourth slide is missing. Since I use hair bands to control slides, I did not miss it. (It ships with the hair bands to secure the slides.)

Although it comes with both A and Bb Blackburn leadpipes that also fit the mouthpipe for the Eterna shortbells that had a standard bore of .420, the advertised bore of the 3916 is .455, I believe, and, since the second-valve slide is fixed, I could only measure the first tube at about .445 and the third at about .455. IMHO, I blows freely.

Please phone or email if you need more pictures. Negotiable...
