Inspired by the beautiful balanced Selmer trumpets played by Louis Armstrong and Harry James, dimensions for this re-creation came from my 1939 24A Selmer balanced model. The third slide ring was intentionally placed on the top of the slide as most model players prefer that position. Bore is .460/.462 which gives the trumpet an even, open blow. Finished in gold lacquer which is similar to the original Selmer color, it is a most beautiful instrument. A fine, used case fitting the trumpet is supplied with it. Available from Washington Music Center, contact Lee Walkowich at (301) 946-8808 or email at leew@chucklevins.com
