| My name is Joe Bolton, owner of HornRepairman.com. Ever since grade school, I played brass and was a brass instrument enthusiast. I played the baritone horn from 6th through 12th grade. I now also play the trombone, trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, alto horn, alto trumpet and mellophone. After getting my BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering, I discovered my passion for brass instruments expanded from playing and collecting, to cleaning, fixing and selling as well. My HornRepairman business grew out of this discovery. If I didn't love to restore vintage instruments and to buy/play/sell the best of the newer brass instruments, I wouldn't continue to do all of this work. The amount of time that I spend on each brass instrument isn't worth it in terms of profit. However, spending time working on each horn is worth much more. This is my therapy that brings me happiness. After testing, cleaning and fixing (if necessary) each one, I find great satisfaction with the beautiful results! |
