| Play trumpet/trombone/sax and open to jazz, swing, blues, as well as western swing which I am doing now with the Curio Cowboys in Albuquerque. New to NM and from New Orleans and would like to form a New Mexico (jazz) brass band on the order of the second line brass bands in New Orleans but using southwestern musical influences. Would need 2-3 trumpets, 2 trombones, 2-3 reeds, bass horn, bass drum and snare drummer. I am very experienced in New Orleans music and would be able to teach and lead this band if I can find musicians who are interested and have the ability to improvise their parts into the ensemble. |
