I have enjoyed posting on Trumpet Herald. I have been a student of Bud Herseth for 20 years and have played in Professional
Orchestras across the U.S. and Canada. I also simultaneously studied with Arnold Jacobs for a number of years until his death.
I still get teaching and help from Williams Scarlett of the Chicago Symphony. My current position is Principal Trumpet of Symphony 47 of Los Angeles, Inc., AFM, where we play all the big major orchestral works favored by the Chicago Symphony during the Reiner and Solti years. I also teach at a school in Los Angeles where I am director of Instrumental Studies for Winds and Percussion. In addition, I coach players and do master classes at major music schools on stage fright and the Chicago Sound all across the U.S. and Canada and have written a book about the subject.
