ok i've been reading and reading about closing the aperature and the lips and stuff and i decided to try it. I played normal and i noticed that right before i played a took a huge breath that made my lips open up and spread apart. I kept them normal (before i take a breath) and breathed outta my nose and voila! I sounded not so airy and blatty and now i can play a lot higher. Before i could sqeeze a G about high C but now i can play a squeaky double C. My tounging and articulation is better too! It's like a revelation i'm so happy. Any ideas on how to practice the closed setting or any exercises to make sure i don't open back up again.
Thanks. Jimmy |
