I made it. I build trumpets as a hobby, maybe one or two each year. It will get a full test at rehearsal tonight, then probably off to get polished and silver plated. It looks cool the way it is, but it won't stay that way.... better to have it finished somehow. |

Everyone’s photobucket pix just show up as blurry screenshots on my phone, & I can’t click on them. Am I doing something wrong ? Also, isn’t PB pay only now? I switched to Flickr.

Photobucket is to be avoided. Buggy site, and they blocked all the free images previously posted. _________________ "Strive for tone." -John Coppola

Found this at a local estate sales about a month ago; a 1946 Martin Committee, original condition, original case, no dents, no sign of lacquer wear, no scratches, like new valves, No 8 Martin mouthpiece. This is how it looked after I cleaned it with Dawn dish detergent, oiled the valves, and greased the slides. You want to talk about a sweet looking trumpet! The house was over 100 years old, falling apart, and full of junk except for this. _________________ Kanstul FB Classic b-flat&C

As you can see, it is possible to make your actual image appear directly in your post if you highlight the entire link (in edit) and then click on the "Img" button above the text box (make sure that the "Disable BBCode in this post" checkbox in "Options" at the bottom is unchecked).
You might want to experiment with reducing the size of your image file before uploading it to wikimedia to get rid of some of the 'dead space' to the right of the in-stream image. I use "Paint" (a free utility included with Windows) for this. _________________ "He that plays the King shall be welcome . . . " (Hamlet Act II, Scene 2, Line 1416)
