The entire Bern concert is incredible!
I would go see Roy every time he came to town. Always on fire!
I miss you Roy! _________________ Several Trumpets and Flugelhorns!

I saw him play at Catalina Bar & Grill. I think he was only like 19 years old at the time.
Another name I heard about the same time was Walter Roney. Just now I see he's also gone… in 2020 from Covid. Dang. |

Saw Roy in 2003 at Ortliebs in Philly. Open Jam session or something and in walks this guy who no one recognized first because the room was so dark
Rhondo, you mean Wallace Roney, right? Covid hit the music scene quite a bit I reckon both economically and on the health side of things. _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence

I also saw Wynton and brother Branford when they were teenagers and they were world class even then. Likewise, used to see Wallace Roney at a club between where I got off the commuter train and my apartment. Also stunning. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn."
