Over 40 years ago a guy ran an ad in the NY Daily News.
It said, "Last Chance!! Send in your dollar now!!" with a P.O. box. He made a lot of money.

But who knows what you'll get when you bid on it? It could even be a new home! Oh man! The excitement is overwhelming! It's hard resist not bidding on it since if I don't, I'll never know that item could be for $30!

Yeah, there are too many suckers out there.

WHAT IF . . .

The seller is probably a disgruntled wife who caught her trumpet-playing husband keeping his lips in shape with someone else . . .

and she's gonna pop his dream horn into the auction with ten minutes to go!

I know a guy who bought a one-year old Mercedes 500SEL convertible (I believe that was the model) for $5,000 one day! He called the seller, "Didn't you mean $50,000 in the paper this morning, I think they left out a zero in the paper."

"No," she replied, "The first $5,000 cash gets the car. It's my husband's pride and joy and he worked YEARS in his business to get it." She continued, "He said his trip prevented taking me with him to Hawaii and I called him yesterday in Hawaii . . . and his SECRETARY answered the phone."

She added, "I want that car GONE when he returns in a couple of days!"

Maybe this is happening here too and she doesn't want him to find out about it until it is too late!

Tom
