I came across Tim Kent's notes from the lessons he took with Bud Herseth. I was pleased to see how many similarities there are between his approach and that of Bill Adam. Particularly in focusing on sound vs. mechanics. It certainly explains why Bill references Bud's playing so often. I thought others visiting the forum that haven't seen them would enjoy reading them as well:
