|
|
I've noticed a somewhat unusual phenomenon recently. I'm getting a number of responses to Marketplace ads from Russian buyers - none of whom appear to even have registered with TH. I have no experience in international shipping, least of all to Russia, which has a reputation, rightly or wrongly, of being home to a number of scammers.
So far I've been reluctant to respond to any of these inquiries. Does anyone have any experience in actually selling to a Russian buyer? Any problems? Any particular issues to be aware of in shipping to Russia?
Thanks,
Joel |

Some time ago I had an inquiry from a Russian buyer. Unfortunately, I am unable to remember if the buyer was in fact a registered member of TH or not.
Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

I give you $500 more than asking price. Is good price. I send my courier their. He gives you check, you give him horn. Is simple. Is good price, my friend. _________________ "Stomvi" PhrankenPhlugel w/ Blessing copper bell

Dale - I loved it! But I must correct you. Boris and the uber-sexy Natasha were from Pottsylvania, not Russia. However, I do think that Pottsylvania was originally part of the USSR, until ees now part of Commonwealth of Independant States.
And now, here's something we hope you'll really like!
Jocar - I'm not a heavy hitter on the marketplace, but I guess I'd be careful. Even if you felt really comfortable that it wasn't a scam (and it would take a bit to convince me it wasn't), you gotta be cautious about customs, etc.. Those details can rear their ugly head, even if both sides of the transaction are fair and honest. _________________ Bb-Getzen Severinsen-Bach 5C
