| A new player, cornet & trumpet. Began causally about when I started retirement about 10 years ago. The last three years have been a more serious endeavour and I'm seriously enjoying the effort and group play. It might be a slight stretch to say I'm a intermediate player, but nothing started at this age progresses like it does in your youth. I have a quality and patient teacher who I characterize as giving me master class lessons in the basics. I play in a 100 piece retiree band plus in a small brass quartet (with my spouse on Euphonium) for holiday cheer. |
